Borden Real Estate and SouthStar Development have combined forces to establish a Wilmington based real estate brokerage called Borden SouthStar Properties, LLC. The principals of both companies are both North Carolina natives and share equally in the ownership of the company. Combining the knowledge and experience of both provides operational synergies and breadth of knowledge to the company.

Mr. Watkins' previous experience includes 17 years of sales, marketing and management. Mr. Watkins' education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Guilford College and Landscape Architecture graduate studies at North Carolina State University. His education also includes real estate licensing in North and South Carolina. Mr. Watkins was a member of Coldwell Banker's Sterling Society and has helped with the marketing and oversight of a new community, Turtlewood at Southport in Southport, NC. His real estate sales and marketing experience allow him the ability to lead Borden SouthStar Properties in today's real estate market.

Mr. Toms previous experience includes 22 years of leasing, property management and sale in Wilmington, Raleigh and Durham, North Carolina as well as Richmond, Virginia and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Mr. Toms' education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Economics with an emphasis on Business Administration from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His education also includes real estate licensing in North and South Carolina. Mr. Toms focuses on office-retail development, tenant representation, leasing, and sales. His background and experience is a tremendous asset to Borden SouthStar Properties.
